Step 4, Working with Plugins {Some of the Options}

Posted on | March 2, 2010 | No Comments

Being a photographer and a graphic designer I am constantly on the search for tools to make my website look great. For me crispseptember.com serves as more than just a blog, it homes my portfolio, and soon it will home my shop (look for it in June 2010) and so much more. But I have been doing most everything using Wordpress and the wonderful plugins that people have written.

The easiest way to find what you are looking for is Plugins/Add New, then search for whatever you are looking for. This is how I have added a Flash Portfolio/Gallery, how I will have an online shop with a easy to use checkout cart, and so much more. Just search for what you want.

Ones that I would recommend finding just to help your blog become more user friendly, AddToAny: Share/Bookmark/Email Button, Akismet (blocks your spam collections), Google XML Sitemaps (helps Google find you), WordPress.com Stats and WP Greet Box (gives your readers different messages).

There will be more tutorials coming, but that is it for now. Hope that these were helpful to you.
