Lomography for the Wedding Day

Trying to decide what you are looking for in your photographer for your wedding and/or engagement? Well, there’s a style of photography that is on the rise, Lomography, no two negatives will ever look the same. And yes I did say negatives.
This stuff is old school, we’re talking a camera with film, not digital. Yes, there are tutorials for photoshop that you can pull off to get the same visual effects, but let me tell you it is not the same.

Photographs taken by Samuel Lippke.
Each picture taken is a one of a kind photograph, that no matter how hard you try there is no duplicating a single negative. The technique that is produced has it’s own kind of charm, one that adds just the right touch of magic to the subject. This might just be the effect you want to remember from you special day.
There is the choice between medium format film cameras or 35mm film cameras, color or black & white. There are some that come with color flash options, there are others that don’t have a flash.
There are a few different cameras out there that produce the lomography surprise of the analog camera. They are the Fisheye Number 2 Camera, Fisheye 35mm Camera
, Diana F+ Medium Format Camera
, LOMO Oktomat 8 lens camera
, Colorsplash 35MM Camera
, Action Sampler 35mm Camera
, Holga 120N Medium Format Fixed Focus Camera with Lens
, Horizon Perfekt Panoramic 35mm Film Camera
& Diana+ Medium Format Camera
.
* All these links will send you to Amazon, but there are other places where these cameras can be purchased. I strongly suggest looking around before you settle on a price.
